Is the usual Spritz boring for you? Do you prefer to drink the Mojito on the terrace of the beach bar? When it comes to cocktails, the choices are endless and finding the right recipe for every occasion is child's play.

Margarita

50ml Tequila • 20ml Triple Sec • 15ml Lemon Juice

Among the summer cocktails it is certainly the best known together with the mojito. To prepare it, simply shake all the ingredients with ice and strain them into an ice-cold cup, salted on the rim. Salt is usually added only on one side, to satisfy everyone's preferences.

Kir Royal

10ml Crème de Cassis • 90ml Champagne

Let's go to France, with one of its most famous cocktails. The Crème de Cassis is a typical Burgundy liqueur based on currants, sweet but not too cloying: combined with the bubbly, in an iced flûte, it transforms into an aperitif suitable for everyone.

In the absence of champagne, you can use a classic method (Franciacorta or Trento Doc) or a Prosecco.

Sea Breeze

50ml Vodka • 75ml cranberry juice • 30ml pink grapefruit juice • 1 lime slice

Pour the ingredients into the shaker, shake, pour and garnish with the lime: the result is a light cocktail with very few calories, with a decidedly summery flavour. It is also excellent in its virgin version, without vodka.

Gin Fizz

45ml Gin • 80ml soda • 30ml lemon juice • 10ml sugar syrup

Gin Fizz is the light version of the classic Gin Tonic, perfect for an aperitif. To prepare it, you just have to shake all the ingredients in a shaker and then pour them into the glass. Very easy!

Watermelon Martini

60ml Vodka • 15ml lemon juice • 50g watermelon pieces • 10ml sugar syrup • 1 slice of watermelon

Blend the watermelon into small pieces, making it a juice. Then shake it in a shaker with the other ingredients and pour into a tall glass. Then add the whole slice as a decoration (and snack) or frozen watermelon cubes!

La Maison glasses for cocktails and aperitifs

The inevitable element of any self-respecting aperitif or cocktail party is obviously the glass, to be chosen based on the type of recipe. For long drinks the tall tumbler is perfect , for gin and tonic it is better to opt for a highball (a generously sized spherical glass), for light aperitifs the classic glass is sufficient , while for whiskey-based cocktails it is often recommended a low, stemless glass .
